Laura Thomas
Laura grew up in La Canada, California. She earned a B.A in Psychology and moved to Seattle where she earned her PhD in Experimental Psychology in 2010. Her research focused on human color vision and more specifically the interaction between rod and cone signals in perceived hue. Laura moved to Tulsa in 2009 when her husband, Robert, was employed as the Chief Investment Officer for the George Kaiser Family Foundation.
She has been on the Planned Parenthood of Eastern OK and AK action board for Tulsa. She continues to service on the fundraising committee for Planned Parenthood of the Heartland and Planned Parenthood Great Plains. She is a co-chair for PPGP and coordinates events to bring communities together. She is dedicated to promote the wellbeing and providing resources to those in need. Laura remains active by serving on multiple boards that assist students to strive and enhance their success. She finds volunteering a meaningful experience.
Most recently she has been a stay at home mom to her 2 boys Greyden, who is 14 and Beckett, who is 8. She enjoys being involved with community functions and volunteering her time. She has been Chair for the last three years of the fundraising committee for her son’s school, Undercroft Montessori. Not only is she a great role model to her sons and volunteers her time to bring communities together, she finds time to enjoy quite moments to read a good book, enjoys cooking for the family and walks the family pittie mix, named Winston. She is excited to travel to Italy with her family once the restrictions on traveling are lifted. The family ski every spring break in Whistler, BC. The favorite past time activity is playing board games as a family which has increased the collection size during the pandemic.
Stuart Gothold, EdD
Dr. Gothold was a Clinical Professor Emeritus in the USC Rossier School of Education. He taught doctoral courses in Leadership and organizational Governance. He also directed doctoral research, specializing on Case Studies of high-performing urban public schools. He was the Executive Director of Educational Insights, a national Think Tank composed of School Superintendents and corporate CEOs. Prior to Joining USC, Dr. Gothold was Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools for 15 years. He was the recipient of AASA’s Shankland Scholarship Award, has received an honorary LLD from Whittier College, and was awarded USC’s Alumni Merit Award. He was Co-Chair of the LA Music Center’s Education Council.
Jennifer Koski
Jennifer Koski earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Northern Colorado. Currently, Jennifer works at TopBloc as a Project Manager where she excels in fostering meaningful relationships with customers and coworkers and driving successful implementations of Workday. Beyond her professional endeavors, Jennifer volunteers her time to support the elderly and children with special needs, demonstrating her dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Jennifer’s compassion extends to her furry companions. She shares her home with three beloved pets, a 7-year-old Doberman named Freya and a 15-year-old cat named Hera, and a 2-year-old Ragdoll cat named Potato. She is thrilled in her role of aunt to her nephew. Adventure holds a special place in her heart, she enjoys traveling internationally and domestically. In her down time, Jennifer indulges in her passion of building computers, enjoying culinary delights, and visiting museums to learn more and enjoy other cultures. Jennifer’s diverse experiences and commitment to community service make her an invaluable asset, her dedication to education, paired with her leadership skills and passion for making a difference, equip her to contribute meaningfully.
